Top 10: My Favorite Pop Albums

Since childhood I have had this obsession with pop music, it all started with the Spice Girls, Fey and BSB and other groups and artists of the time (I like the same way as Miley, Justin Bieber or Jonas affects teenagers today).

I have taken my top 10 favorite pop albums, these albums are from 1997 when I started to collect music, until today, This article is rather long so if you want to read it, Great! And if not, no ... Comments are always welcome and this is just a personal opinion based on my musical taste.

10. Spice Girls - Spice World / A-Teens - New Arrival: Start with a tie, to pick my 10 favorite albums, I realized it was a difficult task and knew that neither of these two could leave off the list. Spice World  was the first cd I had in my life, I remember that was my Christmas gift  this album makes me happy every time I hear it and songs like Move Over (Pepsi Song ), and Satuday Night Divas or Spice Up Your Life were great and now that I've grown is still one of my favorites. On the other hand, New Arrival by A-Teens, When I first heard the cover of One Night in Bangkok was a huge thrill, and now I still love songs like Closer to Perfection y Let your heart do all the Talking.

 9. Kylie Minogue - Aphrodite: This is the only 2010 album from the list and shortly after its release I love every song on the album (well not all). I think it's danceable, joyful and positive and this album makes me feel good every time I hear it. My favorites: Aphrodite, Get out my way, Better Than today, Illusion and All the Lovers.

 8. Marie Serneholt - Enjoy the Ride: The Best 90's Pop Album  released in 2006. And that is because listen Enjoy the Ride seems to hear an album of 1998. Perhaps because the producer and composer was one who wrote when Britney began her career. Although I did not enjoy the Barbie image of Marie at that time, Enjoy the Ride was a great album, cheerful, positive and  POP. My favorites: The Boy I Used to Know, That's the Way my Heart Goes and Enjoy the Ride.

 7. Rachel Stevens - Come and Get it: Who would imagine that this simple girl from pop group Sclub7 going to get in her hands one of the most exciting pop records but  that failed in the industry. Although this album received rave reviews, disappointing sales just help it to get a # 28 in the UK Album chart, it is still considered one of the albums that you must listen, according to The Guardian. My Favorite: So Good, Crazy Boys, Dumb Dumb and Every Little Thing.

 6. Kylie Minogue - X: Returning to Kylie Minogue, this album was a disappointing for fans obut for me was a very good album, though many of the songs of the album are not the best of her music, this album contains one of my favorite songs Like a Drug. Definitely something experimental but inconsistent but still a very good album. My Favorites: Like a Drug, Speakerphone, Nu-Di-Ty Sensitized In My Arms.

 5. Britney Spears - Britney:  Britney sexy style began here with the launch of the first single from this album Im Slave 4 U. This album shows a mature Britney, with a sound more sexy and powerful, and shows some kind of independence, adding that she co-wrote more than half of the songs on this album. This was an album where the songs have personal meaning, and you could relate to, something it does not happen as often in Britney's Albums. My Favorites: Im Slave 4 U Overprotected, Lonely, I Love Rock'n'Roll, When I Found You.

4. Spice Girls - Spice:  Spice Again! Their first album mark a change in the culture of pop music (at least for me). Charged with energy that girls gave strength to the Girl Power and proved to be more than just an advertising image. My Favorites: Wannabe, Say You'll Be There, 2 Become 1 Love Thing, Who do you think you are?.

 3. Kelly Clarkson - Breakaway: The soundtrack of my life. That was my first thought When I hear Breakaway. And is that every song on this album is full of feelings such as anger, sadness, bitterness and strength. Definitely nothing and nobody can take away that this is the best album from an American Idol. My Favorites: Since You Been Gone, Behind These Hazel Eyes, Walk Away, Gone, Addicted.

 2. A-Teens - Teens Spirit: The album title says it all. This album is teen spirit from start to finish. This album is positive, easy, happy and energetic. From art, presentations, videos, everything on this album it's cool ( but fashion is another story). My favorite song Rockin' is ion that album and definitely was the time when this group became my favorite. My Favorite songs: Upside Down, Sugar Rush, Rockin 'Around the Corner of Your Eye, All my Love and in fact I love the entire album.

 1. Britney Spears - Blackout: Forget the shave, and horrible performance of Gimme More at the VMAs, Blackout is the best Britney album! And I do not mean just me, in fact, many critics have placed this as one of the her best. Forget Gaga, Britney's album has it all: experimental sounds, sexy songs and dare lyrics and in fact every song could be hit single. Too bad that her private life have overshadowed this excellent album, but today it ranks as one of my favorite albums and as one of the best pop album I've heard. My Favorites: Gimme More, Piece of Me, Radar, Get Naked, Hot as Ice, Baby Oh oh.
