Jewel - 0304

Yesterday I found a Jewel cd at a very low price, and its funny because I was looking for that album like 7 years ago. Well 0304 its her first commercial/pop album and its totally different from the Jewel of Who Will Save You Soul?.

0304 was released at June of 2003 and her first single Intuition chart at #20 on Billboard Hot 100. The single was well received but fans critized her new sexy style because she left behind her traditional folk style. The video for the single was a funny way to show "the new world" and "the media world" with sensationalist images.

What I like the most about Jewel, its that even if in that time she used a pop look and sound, her lyrics are the same style of Jewel, lyrics about society, pop culture, love and heartbreak, that's what I call Smart Pop.

The Best: Great Lyrics with a pop sound.

The Worst: That I found this album 7 years later.

Best Songs: Stand, Run 2 U, Intuition, Fragile Heart, 2 Become 1, Haunted, Yes U Can, U & Me = Love, America.
