Review: Jessie and the Toy Boys - Show Me Your Tan Lines (EP)

Formerly known as Jessie Malakouti, released some singles and became best known for a small controversy a few years ago because her single Trash me have an undeniable sound quite similar to If U Seek Amy by Britney Spears, the producers and composers of the B-Team was accused of plagiarism, but after all this stuff was clarified. Now she presented under the name of Jessie and the Toy Boys (the Boys Toy being mannequins).

Show Me Your Tan Lines is a collection of 5 pop songs, fun, perfect for club and for summer. This EP is a blend of electro-pop sounds and dance influences that you can hear on the promotional single Push it, the pop sound is loaded on Valentine and Summer Boy is the most outstanding song in the list with a catchy chorus with a sexy "Uuhh" while she’s asking a boy to be her summer love.

For pop and dance lovers this is a very good choice, it is certainly fun and leaves us wanting to hear a little more. Currently Jessie and the Toy Boys is part of the opening acts on the Britney Spears Femme Fatale Tour starting this June 16.
