Review: Uh Huh Her - Black And Blue (EP)

Uh Huh Her finally returns, I was waiting this return since their album Common Reaction (2008) surprised my ears and the single Not a Love Song is still one of my favorites. While Camila Grey and Leisha Hailey prepare the launch of a new album, we have this EP entitled Black and Blue that starts to receive great reviews.

This EP contains 6 songs, a mix of electropop, something dark and mysterious. Black and Blue is a very well produced electro song that leads us on a journey of their soft voices, Never the Same and No Sacrifice take the best elements of the last album to create something special, the rock feeling on I've Had Enough and the electro Philosopher sounds great on this EP, but the best is the melancholy Fascination. I believe that this EP is easier to enjoy than the album Common Reaction (that had a sound more melancholy and dense in each track), as Black and Blue has a lot more energy and an electropop sound that has been well applied to each of the songs without losing the characteristic sound of the band.

This is just a small taste of what this band has in store, and I have to highlight the fact that Camila Grey produced 5 of the 6 songs on the album, here's the promotional video for the single Black and Blue.
